Aertker, Jr. recently negotiated a sizable settlement for the surviving spouse and children of a Mandeville resident who died as a result of an ischemic brain injury at a local hospital caused by the failure of certain healthcare defendants to properly monitor and timely treat his aspiration pneumonia.
Aertker Legal, LLC Successfully Terminates Legal Interdiction of Slidell Client Previously in Gun Shot-Induced Coma

Aertker Legal, LLC recently represented a Slidell man in terminating his longstanding legal interdiction that originated in the wake of being shot in the head while working at a bar in Chalmette, LA. The client, who was left permanently blind as a result of this incident, has since regained full mental capacity. He retained Aertker Legal, LLC to terminate the legal interdiction and, thereafter, obtain legal custodial rights to his young child ... otherwise unobtainable so long as he remained a legal interdict.

Aertker Legal, LLC Successfully Disavows Paternity of Abita Springs Client Legally Presumed to be the Father of a Child Born to his Ex-Spouse.

Aertker Legal, LLC recently represented a Abita Springs man in a legal action to disavow the paternity of a child birthed by his ex-spouse within 300 days of his divorce. Under Louisiana law, the client was legally presumed to be the father of the child and, consequently, responsible for child support, etc. Stephen and his staff swiftly filed and litigated a Rule after the child was born to negate the dual paternity presumption, thereby absolving the client of any legal responsibility for the subject child.

Stephen's soccer team - Covington FC Tammany Tigers 02/03 - captured its 5th straight Louisiana State Cup in defeating the Cajun Rush in Baton Rouge, Louisiana on April 28, 2021. The FC Tammany Tigers, the #1 ranked girls soccer team in Louisiana, will again represent Louisiana and the USYS Mid South Conference at the Region III Championships in Greenville, South Carolina in June 2021.
